Fijian Food

As part of our country study Vili shared a photo of himself, in his Fijian village, scraping a coconut.

His nana Joyce came in to class and showed us how they cut coconuts and get the white part of the coconut out. Then we all had a go at scraping a coconut and tasting it.

A special visitor...

Today OJ came to visit us!  OJ is a cat that lives locally who is having some fun times hanging out at St Albans School!  He came into our classroom and listened to our story after lunch!  That must have exhausted him, because then he curled up under the 'teacher desk' and fell asleep!  Too cute!

Certificate Winners ...

Well done to Asuka, Charlotte P and Harry J for being today's recipients of the Room 16 certificates at the Year 3 Assembly!  We are very proud of you!

Craig Smith

Today Craig Smith, author of the Wonkey Donkey, visited our school to share some of his books. It was a lively session, as he sung his stories whilst playing the guitar. Sometimes the stories were a little bit cheeky as well! A few lucky children were chosen to take some of his puppets around the audience.

Sam was chosen to take around a buzzy bee puppet, whilst Charlotte's butterfly fluttered down on some unexpected children.

Spend some time in France....

Lucy spent time in the holidays putting together a power point presentation on her country France.  What a great way to show us what she has found out! Great work Lucy!
